"Production and time management is so important to game development, and here's why. Whether you're in a corporate setting, an indie studio, or startup mode like we are, every single one of these is gonna ask you to keep a tight timeline. Some of these might give you a little bit of wiggle room, but if you're in startup mode like we are, it's going to be crucial to hit these deadlines. Those of you who have a lot of experience know how crucial timeline it is to get a product out the door, how important it is to meet each milestone. For us, since we're in startup mode, our VCs are gonna have tight expectations for every single milestone. If we're even the slightest bit off and don't deliver when we say we are, they could either cut our funding or cut us off entirely. That is why it is so important for each and every single one of our departments to be on top of what they've got going on. This is why it's so important to map out each and every sprint and milestone along the entire roadmap. Any major delays or setbacks could be catastrophic. For those of you who are self-funded and doing this all on your own, you have nothing to worry about. But for those of us who are looking for funding, but for those of us who are looking for funding, this is not something we can play around with. It is extremely important to invest in production when you have to hit these milestones. If you can't, I highly recommend investing in project management tools. There are free ones out there, but the paid versions are significantly better. We at K-8 Studios are coming up at the crucial point.
