"And staying on the water after more than a month out at sea, one woman achieved an incredible feat. Kelsey Fendler rode more than 2,400 miles across the Pacific Ocean from Monterey, California and arrived at the Waikiki Yacht Harbor around 9 o'clock last night. With land in sight, she was greeted by crowds cheering her on and coffee from Honolulu Coffee Company. She's a really good example of how to face your fears, even if they're really big. She's faced a pretty big thing out there. You're in the middle of the ocean all by yourself. Fendler completed her journey in 43 days, 17 hours and one second shy of 56 minutes, becoming the first American and youngest woman to complete the crossing solo.
