UX is in a misinformation crisis — and most people can't see it. This isn't about blame. It's about a field that's growing faster than its gatekeeping — and the people paying the price are the beginners who trust the loudest voices in the room. We need to fix it. #realuxtalk
"I have seen a bunch of one-year seniors run around and have all their other one-year seniors come and speak at a conference that they put on And nobody at the conference knows what they're talking about And and when you get a bunch of entry-level people who are there because they're trying to learn i'm not faulting anybody For this i'm just saying we need to fix it You get all the entry-level people and they're there and they've got their plate up so to speak and they're happy and they're Excited and they're taking in what people are giving them. But what people are giving them is dangerous Because it's wrong. It's inaccurate There was somebody on linkedin just today That was saying something that was inaccurate And and sometimes i'll say something to them I try to be as diplomatic as I can and try to let them know this is actually not a thing The person was trying to talk about things That happened in ux 25 years ago That we're doing that we're we're going we're going to start doing this. This is what real ux is about now No, this is what ux was about in 1997 When some of the people saying this were actually literally children And and some of them weren't even born yet"
