"Hey everybody, I'm Katen Jensen, and welcome back to Packs and Facts, where I open up packs of TCG while dropping facts. Today we're tearing open a brand new box of the Digimon Card Game's Cross Encounter set, and mostly because I want to talk about the Digimon Eye, Voice, and Ghost game, we're talking about Repamon. Repamon may not look like it at first, but it's a champion level Digimon and a holy beast. Throughout the anime and games, various different Repamon have had several partners or tamers. Richard Sampson, or Satsuma Rantaro in the original Japanese from Data Squad, Arata Sanada from Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory, and Mayuko Hinata from Digimon Rear-Eyes. Though hers is technically Kudamon, but that digivolves into Repamon, so I'm counting it. As far as Ghost Game's version of Repamon, it's got some issues it's working out. The body and tail start out at war with one another, and it's honestly a lot more heavy than you'd expect for such a cute little thing. When we're first introduced to Repamon in Ghost Game, its tail is trying to cut down anything in its path. People, Digimon, trees, anything. Meanwhile, the body is just so tired of being this way, so it's fighting back against the tail, and even if it means mutually assured destruction, is willing to do anything to make it stop. There's a whole vibe of I don't want to be this anymore in regards to how it feels in its own body, and yeah, that's a vibe for a lot of folks, younger me included. Back to lighter topics, Repamon's whole digivolution line is pretty awesome in my humble opinion. Starting off with its rookie form, Kudamon, which is inspired by the lore of the Pipe Fox spirit. It's an absolute cutie. Kudamon digivolves into Repamon, and then Repamon digivolves into its ultimate form as Kirinmon, which is, as you likely guessed, derived from the mythological Kirin. And this is where Repamon's digivolution line splits. My personal preference, and Mayu's partner's final form, is Mitamamon, a mega god-beast vaccine digimon who could command the four elements. The more humanoid mega for Repamon is a centaur-style digimon called Kentorosmon, which while I do like Mitamamon more, Kentorosmon is massively cool. Kentorosmon can actually fuse with Darkdramon, Varoduramon, and fan-favorite Bontoleomon to become Ultimate Chaosmon, a digimon so powerful that the aura it exudes repels and can be harmful to weaker digimon even at vast distances. Your final factor today is that while I voiced the body of Repamon, the tale is voiced by Sean Burgos… oh, and Repamon had previously been voiced by Critical Role's own Sam Riegel. Today we snagged ourselves a Beelzaman card, which as a huge fan of Digimon Tamers, Kidme is absolutely thrilled because I love Beelzaman.
