"When it came to the Challenge Cup, obviously this was Katie Lampson's last game with the club. At what point did the squad know that it was going to be Katie's last game, and how satisfied are you as a group to send her off into retirement with one more trophy? Yeah, obviously Katie has had a great career, like in the NFL, overseas. And so it's always really special when you can send a player off with the championship with a trophy of any kind. I think that's really cool to be able to do for her. She doesn't like the spotlight. She doesn't like to be the center of attention. She doesn't want any of that. And so as a group, we all found out actually after the game, she didn't want anyone to know. And I think she would be okay with me saying that. And it wasn't because she actually didn't want anyone to know. It was just because she didn't want the spotlight to be put on her and take away from the team's moment, which I think shows a lot of her character and a lot of who she is as a human being and a person and a teammate. And when everyone found out, there was nothing but happiness and joy for her because, like I said, she's had an amazing career. And if this is her time to step away from the game and see what's next for her, then it's her time. And so I think we just really wish her all the best. And we want nothing but happiness and joy and fulfillment and everything else that hopefully she will find for whatever's next."
