"I came into the town of Cold Spring, Texas on my way to play a gig at Tempe Creek Vineyard in Livingston. Cold Spring is located 55 miles north of Houston. It's close to the Sam Houston National Forest and it's also close to Lake Livingston. So there's a bunch of outdoor activities that you can find around here like fishing and camping and hunting. The town is named after Cold Spring Creek which is a creek that winds through there and it's got a population of just below 1,000 people. So it's a quaint historical town that's got a real down-home feel to it."
