"I had a chance to stop and check out Canyon Lake in the Texas Hill Country on my way to a gig at Wimberley Inn and Bar in Wimberley. Canyon Lake is located about midway between San Antonio and Austin. So it's 40 minutes northeast of San Antonio, 65 miles southwest from Austin. It's got a population around the 20,000s. And the lake itself, of course, is the reason why people are interested in this area and they often come in to visit, to get on boats, to go to the beach. There's a bunch of hiking and there's a bunch of camping opportunities around here too."
