🎤 Whisper Transcript (en) ⏱ 90s

"King's is really proud to be one of the first signatories of this Women in Research Charter. It means we break down the structural barriers, it means we have transparency about our data, we are flexible about working conditions, we support women through periods of leave. These are all really important structural issues that lead to women just not progressing through their research careers. The support I got from King's has been just an incredible journey throughout. It really showed me that when women have the right support, the support system around them can really lift them. It's a place where we feel seen. We are demoing our tool FreyaScan. FreyaScan is a scanning assistant and report streamlining tool for the 20-week scan. Currently we know that it reduces scan time by 40%, it's currently being trialed in four NHS sites, 10,000 patients, and is already impacting maternal care and people's lives. It was really an honour to be a part of the visit of the Secretary of State to talk about women in science. We need to help each other to be sitting at the table, that our voices are heard, and we contribute to the knowledge, to the experience, and to be united. Why is this important? Because we need a research capability in this country where everybody can contribute, where we have everybody performing to whatever their potential is, and that means every part of society."
