"Inside the audit. Assessing color contrasts. Insufficient color contrasts is one of the most common failures in an accessibility audit. However, people often don't realize how simple this is to assess and address. Using free software such as Wave, flags exactly what areas would fail an audit and even lets you toggle contrast ratios to give you a color that would pass Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Success Criterion, 1.4.3, Contrast, Minimum. Assess areas such as readability of web page content, buttons, links and hover states so they can all easily be seen by users. Other tools that you can use for free to easily assess your site's colors can be found at colorcontrast.cc or with WebAIM's Color Contrast Checker.
