"Roads looking more like a river Sunday night across the south side of Saint Joseph County and is deja vu for many in the Jewel Woods neighborhood just south of South Bend. Homeowners have had flooding issues for decades. Back in 2020 to 13 homes were torn down because of water damage from severe flooding and neighbors say it all started after the bypass was built. But for one neighbor, this is all new. He says he moved to the area for a job opportunity and found the house he would like to retire in. But no one warned him about the flooding. It has turned his dream opportunity into a nightmare. I'm dealing with flooding all because nobody disclosed me because of somebody would have said to me that this happens every time it rains. I would have never bought the house. I mean, I never felt this helpless in my entire life."
