The #RetroFighters #BattleDock is a neat accessory for your #Switch2 that lets you connect up to 4 #GameCube wired controllers. Here's a quick lag test & unboxing and there's more info + links in the main post: https://retrorgb.com/retro-fighters-battle-dock-released-lag-tested.html
"Retro Fighters have just released their battle dock, but it's not actually a traditional switch dock, it's more like a dock for a dock. You place your Switch 2 dock inside this one, then connect it with the included USB cable. It's got four wired GameCube controller ports in front, as well as two USB-A ports, so you won't need to remove your Switch 2 dock from this one when you need to connect more devices. The included USB-Y cable has one for data and one for extra power, presumably to make sure there's enough amp supplied to all four ports. It also comes with magnetic faceplates and four different colors that just pop off and back on, so it's really easy to change the look to match your GameCube or just the color you'd like the dock to be. And while it's a Switch 2 dock, your Switch 1 will definitely fit and work, just not as seamless. It'll also work with a PC, Mister, and Raspberry Pi, and it'll just show up as four Xbox 360 controllers. Of course, lag is always the important factor in controller adapters, so I had to test this out. I used my standard Mr. Lag testing kit that's been thoroughly vetted many times, and ran about a thousand button presses. It looks like the minimum latency is about 2 milliseconds, and that can vary as high as 19.5, so basically between nothing and over a frame. If we average out those results, we get just under 11 milliseconds of lag, which isn't bad if you have a gaming monitor, but not great if your display is laggy. There's some good news, though. I re-ran the test with another controller connected, and the results were about the same. This is important, as it's common that multi-controller adapters add lag with each controller connected, and while I don't have four GameCube controllers to test, there is basically no difference when connecting a second controller. And while I'd always love to see zero lag from controller adapters, it's really important to note that the Switch Pro controller has between 5 and 36 milliseconds of lag in its lowest latency mode, with a higher average than this of about 14 milliseconds, so you're getting about the same experience with this as you would an official Switch 2 Pro controller. Check out Beast's video where he puts it through its paces for more info, as well as the post on RetroRGB.com."
