Even candidates funded by AIPAC are turning against Israel. From Maxine Dexter and Chris Menefee voting for bills calling Gaza a genocide or stopping weapons, to James Fishback opposing $385 million in aid, Israeli media suggests a generation of Americans is no longer willing to listen.
"I think this is a permanent change and we're even seeing it in the elections. We're seeing it not only in the primaries that are taking place but even in those members of Congress who've been elected. Maxine Dexter was elected in Oregon with AIPAC money. She was the AIPAC candidate, AIPAC being the Israeli lobby. When she won with AIPAC money, she went to Congress and then compared what happened in Gaza to the Holocaust and voted with Rashida Tlaib's bill calling what happened in Gaza a genocide. Chris Menafee. AIPAC tweeted congratulating him on his win when he went to Congress. When he went to Congress, he voted for the bill to stop weapons going to the Israelis. Meaning AIPAC, even candidates that they're funding and who win with their funding are now turning against them. And now look at James Fishback in Florida who despite some controversial views is openly saying that I don't want to give $385 million to the Israelis. I want to keep it here in Florida. That's a permanent political change and in the words of Israeli media itself, they're now saying that this may be the final Congress and the final president who is willing to listen to the Israelis because now they've lost an entire generation of Americans who are about to come into power."
