"This image shows children achieving a basic pass grade in GCSE Maths and English and here in green are those on free school meals for my deprived families and here in yellow is everybody else. And what you can see also, apart from the enormous difference, is all these blocks of blue they are all the children who are not achieving basic pass grade in GCSE Maths and English. And that's a third of the total number of pupils. So the education system is failing a third of all pupils and that has big implications for the economy.
