"So we're here at the Amtrak train station, one of three parking lots that was recently passed that will be switched to metered parking, but that's not the story. The question is where can you find a place to park? We're asking residents that, people that come into Davis, that's their number one concern and a new apartment project being built at the corner of 5th and G Street will now raise those concerns. It's a 239 apartment complex that's supposed to rely less on cars, more on bike and walking, but nevertheless how are the people going to get here? And a lot of people are mentioning it's just limited to find parking within downtown. Demolition will begin next week and businesses already got a construction notice, but a lot of them are sounding alarms on the impact this will have into downtown, businesses on its impact, and people just trying to find a space to park their cars."
