"Let's take them from the top. What would I do differently if I had to start K-08 all over again? Number one, I think I'd be a little bit more detailed in my documents. I kept the documents pretty broad so that people could provide their input and that the documents could be a little bit more collaborative, but realized that there are a few subtle nuances that we glossed over. Either adding specific details in there before the team got in there or asking the team to provide specific details as soon as they got in there. I thought everybody would be okay with going into the GDD and adding their input, but there are only a select few that felt comfortable doing this. Which leads me to part two, be more specific with your direction. I should have been more direct with giving people specific tasks early on. Honestly, I felt uncomfortable barking orders when people were working on revenue share. That's why I let people come and go as they please and manage their own schedules. Unfortunately, this led to a bit of chaos and I had to do some cleanup. Which is why number three is I would have vetted people a little bit more thoroughly. There's some people I thought showed genuine interest and wanted to be a part of the team, but as soon as they were actually here, they disappeared. I had too many people who actually ghosted at work. They stopped showing up, stopped contributing, stopped helping at all. There was a ton of turnover early on and because of that, I had to reestablish teams. I really wish I did a better job of vetting people more thoroughly and make sure that they'd be open and willing to work on a revenue share basis. I disclose this to every single person joining, but clearly a lot of people didn't show enthusiasm towards that. But at this point, I think we have a fantastic team. Everyone is contributing, communicating, and thriving and really can't wait for the next steps of K-8. So thank you to all my team members at K-8 Studios for everything you've been doing.
