"We were talking about this over dinner yesterday with a couple of buddies of mine about how everything changed for the Maple Leafs after they won the first overall pick. Because going into that draft lottery, there was a lot of nervous feelings in Leafland because nobody, everyone was just like, just keep the pick, just try to keep the pick. It was also statistically more likely they were going to lose the pick. Lose the pick. Exactly. And then they got number one. Just keep it. Don't give it to Boston. And it was so like, everybody was watching it and stuff like that. And then when the ultimate surprise came in 12, the number 12, you know, ball came out of the lottery machine and it's the Leafs in the number one spot. It's just like the next, remember the next day on the show, it was like we did the show that day. We're like, oh, you know, just give it to Boston and move on and see what happens. And the next day we're like, we're back. Let's go. The Leafs, number one overall pick for getting drafted. Nailer, they did it. You're getting Gavin McKenna, holy cow, you could expedite this thing again. And then the McKenna news, now it's the Bobrowski news, the Rorensky hype that almost felt real. It allowed Leafs fans to dream big for a day. And then, you know, all the moves that they've made in free agency that has a lot of people excited because change excites people. There's been a lot of change in this team. It was promised there was going to be a lot of change, new GM, new coach, probably a new coaching staff, new players, new goalie. It's a lot to be excited about here in Toronto."
