"How do you bring a monarch butterfly to life using just a stylus and a tablet? This is a digital sketch of a monarch butterfly built up step by step. I started with loose initial marks to establish the form, then began introducing darker tones to build up depth. Using an airbrush tool at low opacity, I slowly layered soft shading to keep everything subtle and natural. Next, I introduced red tones that gradually shift into orange, building that signature monarch wing colour. Then I refined the central body with sharper definition, adding a few background tones to help the subject stand out.
