Give me 30 seconds and I turn any conversation into a conversation about Dragon Age, but in the context of games that EA seems to have sent out to die, it was easy to work up to Veilguard. (Which is just one EA casualty on sale for the Steam Summer Sale this week.)
"I'm mentioning this one because I think EA sent this thing out to die. Immortals of Aviam. I don't know who was looking for a first person shooter fantasy magic game. I don't know how to explain it. It's almost like a Diablo game, but in first person with ranged magic only. But it's also got a weird magic story, which is actually quite interesting. It came out in 2023 and it was literally sent out to die. I don't know anybody who'd heard of it. It's a major release from EA and nobody knows this game exists. If you want to talk about games that EA sent out to die, Dragon Age The Veil Guard is also on sale for $18. I don't think they sent that game out to die. I think they shot the game in the back as it was stepping outside. They're like, by the way, bang! Yeah, because they released it and then they laid everyone off. That was pre-decided. But it is a pretty good game. It's not necessarily the best game ever, but it's a pretty good game. Inquisition, which is my personal favorite, is $3.99. It's an old game, but it's still such a good game. If you haven't played that and you're wanting to catch up on your Dragon Age games, $4.00. It's kind of hard to argue with. The problem, of course, is now if you do spend those $4.00, congratulations, you're on the hook for 160 hours of gameplay. Good luck!"
